Bruins on Water (3rd - 5th)

Must be entering 3rd - 5th grade and at least 8 years old by September 1, 2022.

Step on board for a summer of fun where science meets the sea. Campers will be introduced to the wonders of the Pacific Ocean through interactive science experiments and water-aquatic activities. Under the supervision of our trained staff, campers will learn the fundamentals of sailing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding in Marina del Rey and put their skills to the test with games and challenges. Water activities will be supplemented with land-based instruction, science experiments, and art activities.

Swim Requirement: Since water sports are integral to these programs, all campers in this program should be water safe and able to swim 25 consecutive yards and tread water for 2 minutes.

This is a TWO-WEEK FULL-DAY program running Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm at the Marina Aquatic Center. Transportation is NOT available to/from the UCLA Campus.

Session Dates:

  • Session A: June 13 - 24 (No Camp June 20)
  • Session B:June 27 - July 8 (No Camp July 4)
  • Session C: July 11 - July 22
  • Week 7 (1 week): July 25 - July 29

Sailing Camp (6th - 10th)

Must be entering 6th-10th grade and at least 11 years old by September 1, 2022.

The horizon's the limit as campers cast off and learn to sail. We combine land and water exercises to make a fun and challenging program with an emphasis on hands-on skills in seamanship, teamwork, and sportsmanship. All campers learn in our fleet of RS Quest sailboats in small groups and progress through beginning instruction and group challenges with an opportunity to advance to intermediate and more technical lessons. No previous sailing experience is necessary.

Watersport Sampler (6th - 10th)

Must be entering 6th - 10th grade and at least 11 years old by September 1, 2021.

Get the best of all water worlds in this multisport instructional camp. Campers will learn the fundamentals of sailing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding in Marina del Rey and put their skills to the test with games and challenges. Water activities will be supplemented with outdoor distanced land-based instruction and STEM activities.

Swim Requirement: Since water sports are integral to these programs, all campers in this program should be water safe and able to swim 25 consecutive yards and, to tread water for 2 minutes.

This is a ONE-WEEK FULL-DAY program running Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm at the Marina Aquatic Center. Transportation is NOT available to/from the UCLA Campus.

  • Week 2: June 21 - June 24 (No camp June 20)
  • Week 3:June 27 - July 1
  • Week 4:July 5 - July 8 (No camp July 4)
  • Week 5:July 11 - July 15
  • Week 6: July 18 - July 22
  • Week 7: July 25 - July 29
