Rec Grizzlies

Campers must be age 11 - 13 by September 1, 2026 and entering 6th – 8th Grade in Fall 2026.

Campers will rotate through different activity stations throughout the day, participating in leadership, crafts, and sports activities. Example activities include but are not limited to: team-building games, goal-setting, arts and crafts, volleyball, basketball, and pickleball, as well as scheduled unstructured time for campers to reflect and/or interact with their peers. This program also includes recreational swimming and a weekly walking field trip around the UCLA Campus. This 1-week program runs Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center.

Registration Opens 2/10 at Noon.

Camp Fees are organized in a three-tier payment system.

  • TIER 1: CURRENT UCLA STUDENTS
  • TIER 3: UCLA STAFF AND FACULTY
  • TIER 5: ALL OTHERS

SCRC AM Extended Care: Rec Grizzlies

This specialized add-on provides supervised early-morning play for families needing an earlier start.

Exclusive Eligibility: This program is strictly limited to campers enrolled in Rec Camp or Rec Grizzlies for the corresponding week. No other camp programs are eligible for this add-on.

Arrival Window: Curbside drop-off is available exclusively between 7:15 AM and 7:30 AM at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center turn-around.

Late Arrivals: To maintain our staffing ratios and transition schedules, we cannot accept early drop-offs after 7:30 AM. If you miss this window, you must remain with your camper until standard check-in begins at 8:30 AM.
