UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden's Nature Day Camps
Nature Day Camp (1st - 2nd and 3rd - 4th)
July 13th to July 17th
This engaging outdoor camp offers children hands-on opportunities to explore nature in a safe, supportive environment. Campers will observe plants and wildlife, ask questions, and develop curiosity about the natural world through guided activities. Designed to build observation skills and introduce foundational concepts in natural history, the program encourages learning through exploration, creativity, and play. Each day blends education and fun, helping young explorers grow their confidence and connection to nature.
Wildlife Detectives (1st - 2nd + 3rd & 4th)
*July 20th to July 24th*
During our Wildlife Detective Camp, campers will dive into the fascinating world of animals through interactive games, creative crafts, and nature walks. They'll uncover the secrets of habitats and conservation right in our stunning botanical garden. This dynamic camp is the perfect blend of fun and learning, empowering kids to develop their observation skills, teamwork, and confidence in the great outdoors.
Jr. Entomologist (1st & 2nd + 3rd & 4th)
*July 27th – 31st*
In our Jr. Entomology Camp, campers trade their screens for magnifying glasses and dive into the thrilling world of insects! Campers will explore our beautiful botanical garden and discover how bugs construct their habitats, master the art of camouflage, communicate in their unique ways, and contribute to the magic of our ecosystem. With exciting nature walks, hands-on experiments, and creative arts and crafts, every day will be bursting with fun and exploration.
Drop-off and pick-up for this program take place at the UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden. Campers enrolled in this program are not eligible for extended care.
Registration Opens 2/10 at Noon.
