UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden's Nature Day Camps

Must be entering 1st - 2nd grade and at least 6 years old by September 1, 2025.

Must be entering 3rd - 4th grade and at least 8 years old by September 1, 2025.

Join us at the UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden's Nature Day Camp! This fantastic camp is all about hands-on learning in the great outdoors. Campers will explore and unleash their curiosity as they discover the wonders of the natural world around them. With activities that engage all their senses and boost observation skills, every moment is exciting. Plus, they'll dive into essential concepts of naturalism, making this a thrilling educational journey for young explorers!

Get ready for a week-long daily adventure, based out of the beautiful La Kretz Garden Pavilion at the UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden. Instructors are passionate and experienced outdoor educators who are experts in their fields.

Specialty offerings have themes that build upon the Nature Day Camp curriculum:

• Water Explorers Edition (week 6) is about sparking children's curiosity and diving into the fascinating world of water and local watersheds

• In Wild LA Edition (week 7) campers will dive deep into the wonders of the environment and become a true steward of nature. Campers will have a blast exploring the local wildlife and vibrant ecosystems through hands-on activities and engaging experiences.

Drop-off and pick-up for this program take place at the UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden. Campers enrolled in this program are not eligible for extended care.

This 1-week program runs Monday-Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm at the UCLA Mathias Botanical Garden.

Daily Schedule:

  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM Drop-Off
  • 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Camp Programming
  • 3:00 PM - 3:30 PM Pick-Up
