Chem Kids (5th - 7th Grade)
Must be entering 5th - 7th grade in Fall 2024 and at least age 10 years old by September 1, 2024.
Campers will push their intellectual boundaries by learning basic organic chemistry (yes, kids can learn the tough subject of organic chemistry!), exploring 3D chemical structures, and safely performing science experiments. 3D games and activities, such as Rubik’s Cube-solving sessions and interacting with molecules in virtual reality, will also be part of the experience. This popular program is led by award-winning UCLA chemistry professor Neil Garg and includes tours of UCLA research facilities. This week-long program runs from 8:30 am-1:30 pm and is based out of Young Hall on the UCLA campus (Drop off and Pick Up at John Wooden Center).
NOTE: The program curriculum will be identical to previous sessions (Summer 2023) and it is not recommended that campers repeat this program.
