Adaptive Recreation

Making sport accessible | UCLA Adaptive Recreation Video

The UCLA Adaptive Recreation Program provides opportunities for individuals with and without disabilities to participate in adaptive sports & recreation activities.

We strive to expand access to opportunities that promote physical fitness, health and wellness, increased self-esteem, and greater functional independence to UCLA students, faculty, and staff as well as community members in the greater Los Angeles area. In addition, we work on educating the campus community on the lifestyles of individuals with disabilities in relation to sports and recreation, while also helping people understand the barriers to access for athletes with disabilities.

We also partner with other adaptive programs in the Los Angeles community to help facilitate programming off campus, including partnerships with Angel City Sports and the Triumph Foundation.
