Bruins Esports & Gaming Lounge
Presented by Alienware
The Bruins Esports & Gaming Lounge Presented by Alienware is a multi-use gaming space located on A-level of Ackerman Union, next to the post office. The lounge is outfitted with 30 Alienware gaming desktop stations and 3 console stations, each equipped with an Xbox S, PlayStation 5, and a Nintendo Switch 2.
The lounge is open to the public, and is reservable for special events, club meetings, and camps. The space will also host esports intramurals, workshops, and courses centered around game design and game production.
How to Use the Bruins Esports & Gaming Lounge
The BEGL is open to UCLA affiliates and the general public.
- For PC: Choose an open PC and make an account or login.
- Pay for hours via the available pricing packages, select a game, and play!
- For Console: Check-in with the front desk. Please bring your Bruin ID for console rentals.
- Pay by time played! Return your controller at the front desk and settle your bill.

Refund Policy
All previously purchased game time passes expire at the start of every new academic quarter.
All sales are final. Refunds are not offered for unused or partially used time, including quarter passes, except in the limited case below:
- Duplicate purchase made within 24 hours where no time has been activated/used.
- A mistake that is reported immediately, e.g. purchassed PC time but meant to purchase console time or vice versa
- Eligible technical failure (1-Hour Pass / Until Close Pass only): If a technical issue prevents gameplay and BEGL staff cannot resolve it by moving you to another available station, a refund may be issued only for a 1-Hour Game Pass or Until Close Pass.
No refunds will be issued for technical issues on any other pass type (including multi-hour packs and quarter passes).
At staff discretion, a one-time time 1-hour credit, play extension, or rental voucher may be offered for negative experiences caused by:
- Lag or instability
- Hardware malfunction during play
- Non-policy disturbances
Gameplay Experience Resolution Policy
- Quarter passes and hourly time are non-refundable once purchased, except in the limited cases outlined above.
- Refunds or credits are not provided for policy violations, dissatisfaction with game selection, or personal scheduling conflicts.
- No refunds or credits will be provided for campus closures, lounge closures due to prior reservations, holidays, or other unforeseen circumstances outside of our control.
