Bruin Masters Swim Club
The Bruin Masters Swim Club is open to current UCLA Faculty, Staff, and Student adult swimmers (fitness, triathlete, competitive, and non-competitive) ages 18 and over who are dedicated to improving their fitness through swimming. Within the program, structured workouts from the coaches offer valuable training assistance along with stroke and technique clinics, workshops, and general instruction. Pool and open water races provide opportunities to compete and measure individual progress at the local, state, national, and international levels. This program is designed to help swimmers improve fitness and/or train for specific goals, and offer active support for a healthy lifestyle through friendship and camaraderie.
About the Club
The goal of Bruin Masters Swim Club is to foster an environment that encourages fitness through swimming. The program reaches out to a diverse community. Among our members, we have former Olympians, triathletes, age-group swimmers returning to the sport 10 years later, participants overcoming health-related issues, and novices just learning the freestyle stroke.
One thing our members have in common is their desire to come together to seek improvement. The camaraderie of masters swimming helps us to stay focused and pushes us to work a little harder. We strive to make swimming a lifestyle.
