Campers must be age 8 – 10 by September 1, 2026 and entering 3rd -5th Grade in Fall 2026.

Discover is a program that provides campers a chance to be active in a variety of areas. Activities include recreational swimming, challenge course, field games, rock wall, arts & crafts, and an extended-day weekly field trip. Planned field trips are listed in the offering notes and are subject to change without notice based on enrollment. This 1-week program runs Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM and is based out of the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center.

Registration Opens 2/10 at Noon.

  • Week 4 (7/10) - Knott’s Berry Farm
  • Week 5 (7/17) - Disneyland
  • Week 6 (7/24) - Knott's Soak City
  • Week 7 (7/31) - Universal Studios Hollywood
  • Week 8 (8/7) - Disney California Adventure

Daily Schedule:

  • 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM Drop-Off
  • 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM Camp Programming
  • 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM Pick-Up*

*Fridays are an extended day for a Field Trip with a drop-off at 8:00 AM and a pick-up time of 8:00 PM.

Camp Fees are organized in a three-tier payment system.

  • TIER 1: CURRENT UCLA STUDENTS
  • TIER 3: UCLA STAFF AND FACULTY
  • TIER 5: ALL OTHERS

  • Week 4: July 6 - 10
  • Week 5: July 13 - 17
  • Week 6: July 20 - 24
  • Week 7: July 28 - 31
  • Week 8: August 3 - 7

Fees

$650 / $795 / $895

Field trip destinations and weekly schedules are subject to change. Program weekly pricing varies based on field trip costs with weeks 5, 7, and 8 having an increased fee due to planned field trip destinations.
