Here is the ideal spring bucket list to have the best spring quarter!
Soak Up the Sun at Sunset Rec
Make the most of good weather and spend the day at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. Take a dip in the pool, lay out on the grass, and play some games with friends!
Bonus Bucket List Activity: Grab an açaí bowl from B-Cafe or a bite to eat from the Study and bring it with you to have a picnic on the grass!

A Game of Beach Volleyball at Mapes Beach
Did you know UCLA has a Beach on the hill?!? While at Sunset Rec, visit Mapes Beach, the beach volleyball sand courts. Join in on a pick up game, or grab some friends and start a game of your own! Be sure to check the UCLA Rec website to see the open Rec hours.

Go Rock Climbing
For an indoor activity, visit the rock wall located inside the John Wooden Center. Never rock climbed before? No problem! UCLA Rec offers introduction classes for only $15! The Climbing 101 - Intro to Indoor Bouldering class is beginner friendly and is being taught 6 different times throughout spring quarter.

Go for a Swim at SAC Pool
On a hot day, when you're looking for a way to cool off while on campus, go for a dip in between classes at the Student Activities Centerand swim some laps. It’s a great way to cool off, stay active, and beat the heat!

Cheer on Friends at Intramural Games
Spring intramurals are in full swing! Even if you missed the chance to join a team this quarter, you can still get in on the fun by cheering on your friends at their games. Intramural sports are a great way to support your community, meet new people, and enjoy the competitive spirit on campus. Whether it's flag football, tennis, cornhole, or more, there’s something for everyone. Loved what you saw on the sidelines? Keep an eye out to join a team next quarter and make some unforgettable memories!

Go Kayaking for FREE
The best is saved for last! You can go kayaking for FREE in Marina Del Rey at our UCLA Marina Aquatic Center. Kayaking at the MAC gives you the perfect study break and lets you explore the coast of Los Angeles.

Go Backpacking
UCLA Rec Outdoor Adventures offers Intro to Backpacking workshops for only $5! Take a class, learn all you need to know about backpacking, and get out there! Some great places to backpack only a few hours away from UCLA are Joshua Tree and the San Gabriel Mountains. The OA Rental Center is stocked up on gear to help make your trip possible. These are just a few of the top things to do this spring at UCLA, and whether you decide to check off a few or take on the whole bucket list (which we recommend if you want to have the best spring quarter ever), you’re bound to make some amazing memories. Don’t just take our word for it, try it for yourself and grab your friends. Try something new, meet new people, and make this spring one to remember. Happy Springtime, Bruins!
